Please go to the question, right below your question, you should see a "Vote to award prize" link, you can click it and vote to award the prize to the winner.

@Lawrence: If you see this, the "Tutorial: How to assign prize money" link in the footer (of WPquestions) is not showing what it should show, can you please fix it? It would be helpful to new users.

Too many experts are asking for server info or WP admin info even when the questions can be solved by answers/instructions. We should do something about that. This problem has been identified before, I'm not sure if we have measures to prevent it but it seems to get worse recently.

Yeah, it's kind of bad luck and it's not down to conversation IMO, the asker just tried again and made it because she didn't make a mistake again. I don't think Jatin's answer provided any extra USEFUL instructions than mine... that's my point. If his answer did provided some instructions that leading her to the answer, I'm fine with that, but again I don't think that was the case, his answer was just longer with some unuseful tips (for that particular question). I can't be happy with the voting...

I understand your point of view and I'm not against any of you. I just thought that the asker didn't divide the prize fairly. My answer is short, but informative enough to solve the problem. The asker didn't manage to fix it because she overlooked some files, then she saw your answer with same solution (nothing more in my opinion), checked the files again and found it... that doesn't mean your answer deserved the full prize... I don't think so.
I hope we have some methods to rate the askers. For example, downvote askers who provide too little information, never response or vote unfairly...

Lawrence, I understand that we should keep the answers on the site instead of asking for server access but how about when the problem cannot be solved if we cannot check the server, WP installation, doing testing...etc? Or when the askers don't have enough knowledge/skills to solve it even if they have instructions? There are those kind of problems that we cannot help without server access and I think in those cases, asking for FTP or other information is acceptable.

I disagree with that. If you read the answers carefully, the information Jatin Soni provided in his answer is the same as existing answers and the extra part is not useful at all. You think he deserved the prize because he has a better conversation with the asker? Sounds unfair to me. The correct and earlier answer should get the prize, not the better conversation.

@Garbriel: Her server does not use suhosin so regular suggestions (changing suhosin settings) didn't work
after trying various things, I found it was because of "max_input_vars", a relatively new php directive (available since php 5.3.9). I increased it from 1000 to 2000 in php.ini and it worked
Her site has a large number of pages/posts, the menus are very long and I guess WP requires more input vars available to save the menu

I should get the prize because I gave the first correct answer. Cannot understand why I was voted only $1 by ohlivia13 while other answers just provide same or unuseful information.
The prize is not big, I just feel the division is not really fair...

It was very nice of you to say that, Julio. I appreciate that you took time to read the answers before voting and voted differently from the asker. I hope every voter will have the same spirit.

To AlexanderBell only:
I'm glad I could help. Anyway, have you tried the code in my 3rd answer? I think it is a little better than the 2nd one, although both of them may work correctly. IMO, !important should be avoided when possible.

Written in response to Set time stamp on post from front end:

The prize is not too much so it's definitely not what I care the most. But I think my help was useful because I didn't just provide a solution but I also told Matt what was wrong with his code and gave him instructions how to test the code, in first answer and second one as well.
