Lew has over 10 years of experience in the IT field as a developer and systems administrator. Being interested in computers since his first tape based system, he started taking programming classes in High School where he learned BASIC and C++. He expanded his knowledge of high and low level programming languages at the University of Maine. While working for an ISP in Maine as a Unix Systems Administrator he taught himself PERL and has since taught himself VB.Net, PHP, ASP, and other similar programming languages. Spending the majority of his career working as a systems admin has allowed him the flexibility of maintaining various servers, learning new services and technologies, and developing his programming skills. Lew was first introduced to WordPress over three years ago and has been in love with it ever since. Now he specializes in custom WordPress development, from themes to plugins as well as other various web technologies. In his spare time, he and his wife enjoy hanging out with their two beagles and seven cats. They also enjoy going to the ballet, blogging, watching baseball, and their favorite TV show, Lost!
