For now, I have decided to give all the money on this site to the experts. WP Questions does not currently make a profit, or rather, all of the profit now goes to the experts. For each question asked, I have the software donate $1 to the Community Pot. And the Most Upvoted Expert Of The Month prize is 4% of the total amount. And with those 2 donations, I basically give 100% of the money on this site to the experts who answer the questions. Or rather, 5% of the money goes to PayPal and 95% goes to the experts.
I commit these resources to the experts out of respect for what you do.
I hope to soon add new features to the site (in particular, live chat) that will entice askers to pay a little bit more, and if they do, then I will keep that as my profit. But for now, I am giving all of the money to the experts.
(By the way, people keep asking me why I say that 5% of the money goes to PayPal. The answer is, PayPal takes 3% when the question is first asked, and then PayPal takes 2% for the Mass Pay API call that sends the money to the experts.)
