    Pippin Williamson says:

the .htaccess file needs to be in your root wordpress folder, so in the same folder as "wp-content".

    Nile Flores says:

You only need 1 htaccess file in your root and none in your wp-content. (for those in cPanel - within your public_html folder... for windows/ Plesk.... httpdocs folder). Unfortunately, just moving it will only try to re-write the one already in your main folder.

You can put all you need for blocking the htaccess to certain folders in that one instance of your .htaccess.

    SO....

Either log in to your File manager or log onto your account through FTP, and go to your folder wp-content/plugins/wp-dbmanager

I would recommend downloading that file and then remove it.

On your own computer, copy the information inside and then insert it into your existing .htaccess file in your public_html folder (or cooresponding folder for whatever type of hosting you have.)

To kind of give you an idea of how to secure the folder... in case that is needed, check out:

Dear friend that's has got an special .htaccess on his folder.

    Open wp-content/backup-db Folder,

The script will automatically create a folder called backup-db in the wp-content folder if that folder is writable. If it is not created, please create it and CHMOD it to 777

get .htaccess file from Folder: wp-content/plugins/wp-dbmanager

    to Folder: wp-content/backup-db

    that's all.

If you still need help then I'm here..
