Keep old permalink when change page from a parent to a child.
I had a page (parent) that is in my menu
http://www.mattzito.com/ask-matt/
I moved the page to a child now the link is this.
http://www.mattzito.com/mattzito/ask-matt/
How do I move the page so it is not in my menu (parent) and maintain the original link. http://www.mattzito.com/ask-matt/
Thanks,
Matt

2:32pmLew Ayotte says:There are several ways to do this... probably the easiest:
1) Create a parent page named ask-matt, install the Redirect plugin, add a meta tag to that page "redirect" w/ http://www.mattzito.com/mattzito/ask-matt/
or a little more difficult, but easier to manage:
2) You can also do this by installing the Redirection plugin, create an htaccess redirect using that plugin to redirect /ask-matt/ to http://www.mattzito.com/mattzito/ask-matt/
Have fun :)- 07/22/10 1:59pm
Lew Ayotte says:#2 is a better option, if you don't want it in your menu...
