Sidebar and footer not loading on index

The theme I'm using won't load correctly on the home/blog page. The content shows up but the sidebar and footer do not. However, they do work as expected on single posts and pages.

When I was testing this theme (http://identitypr.com/preview/firstpreferred/15196-first-preferred-blog/) everything worked correctly. I didn't change anything other than a few external links with the new install.

Any ideas?

Deactivating it solved the problem. How I over looked something so simple is beyond reason.
